The Black Lion
It closed its door’s in 2005 and remained closed until our clients purchased the building in 2010. Once the design was agreed and Planning & Listed building consent was granted, work began on the refurbishment and extension in late 2011.
The Black Lion Inn Reopened to the public as a gastropub in August of 2012 so you can call in if you’re passing by.

The project involved the demolition of later additions to the original building and the construction of a new commercial kitchen and dining-room to the rear which has views towards the Snowdonia mountain range.
The Existing Pub was completely striped back to the original walls and re built with underfloor heating fed by an Air source heat pump. Solar hot water panels have also been used. Externally the building was re-renderd with lime using traditional methods and reclaimed Welsh slate has been used on the roof.
